Streams of Mercy serves over 2,000 orphans and children at risk in 40+ orphanages or orphan projects in 13 different nations. Through the funding of these programs, we are able to provide food, housing,
clothing, education and medical care for the children in those orphanages. We serve several thousand other people with food, shelter and water through the support of 3 medical clinics.
In addition to the financial assistance given, Streams of Mercy also organizes volunteers and volunteer teams who go to individual orphanages to assist in the care of the children.
Streams of Mercy provides relief and assistance to those who are affected by both man made and natural disasters around the world.

The stark reality of children living on the streets of Brazil is that many children run away from their homes and can't return. Many of them live on the streets because they do not believe they can possibly succeed
in life. They are not able to make plans for a future because they live one day at a time. Rescue and Restore offers hope to these children.

Bogota Street Kids | Bogota, Colombia
In Bogota, Colombia there are an estimated 12,000 children living on the street. Some of them are runaways; others are orphans or have been abandoned by their parents. Organizations like the Bogotá Street Kids Project provide long-term residence and vocational training to offer hope and healing to these children.

Eleanor Workman is an incredible woman whose heart beats with a single purpose; to give hope and help to the poor people of Haiti and rescue abandoned babies in this impoverished island nation.
Christian Haitian Outreach's ministry came into being because Eleanor Workman answered the call, by laying aside her own ambitions and dedicating her life to serve needy children in Haiti. Her life and ministry inspire others to totally commit themselves to God and see His divine purposes fulfilled in their lives.

Faith & Love in Action | Jacmel, Haiti
Faith and Love in Action is a non-profit organization based in Haiti since 1996. It is partnered with Aid International, Inc. Faith and Love in Action's mission, is to bring about change in the lives of the orphans and needy children of Haiti. Faith and Love in Action (FLA) started as a home for just a few homeless girls living on the street in the 90's. Since then, it has grown into a home for boys and girls of all ages. Currently there are 81 children living in these homes. The dorms are divided into three categories: Girl's Home, Boy's Home and Baby's Home. The 'kids' range from 1 to 23 years old, with the average child being 6-9 years old.

Stones Hope Children's Home | Mandeville, Jamaica
Stones Hope believes that every life is precious and that every child deserves to be loved and that is the heart behind their Boys' home and Girls' home. The children in these homes are rescued from horrific family situations and placed in a loving, caring environment where they are shown the Father's love and given the chance to live a life redeemed. God sets the lonely in families and at Stone's Hope they are actively involved in rescuing this generation one child at a time.

Rancho Los Amigos is an orphanage in the town of Juarez which is on the border of Texas and Mexico, just south of El Paso. It is run by a wonderful ministry whose heart is to see these children grow up with the knowledge of
a loving Father who made them special and unique. At Rancho Los Amigos the children are part of a family that cares for them physically, mentally and spiritually.

Hope Haven's goal is to empower these young women to overcome their circumstances, take responsibility for their lives, and become contributing members of society. Fountain of Hope Children's Home
The history of too many African nations has included distress, war, injustice, and the plague of AIDS/HIV. Tragically, the children suffer most—abandoned, abused, hungry, alone.
Moved by the plight of orphans and other at-risk children in Zimbabwe, Gideon and Jennifer Chishamba, established Fountain of Hope Children's Home (FOH) in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 2000. Fountain Of Hope's commitment is:
"To be a reliable and relevant bridge of hope to orphans, vulnerable children, widows and downtrodden communities affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty." Their holistic vision includes ministry to the whole person:
body, mind, soul and spirit.

Shoes for Orphans
Shoes are an item that most Americans take for granted. We have lots of shoes...running shoes, casual shoes, winter boots, and dress shoes. Shoes are plentiful in our nation, but that is NOT the case in many other places around
the globe.
Shoes came the news in the 1980’s when President Ferdinand Marcos and his wife Imelda were deposed in the Philippines. As they fled the country, the common people swarmed into the palace, and photographed an unbelievably extravagant
lifestyle. They discovered 2,700 pairs of expensive shoes in Imelda’s closets in the palace.

The Forsaken Children | Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The Forsaken Children traces its beginnings back to early 2005 when Joe Bridges and Michael Granger traveled to Ethiopia on a short-term missions trip. Both of these young men were shocked to see thousands of children living on the streets in the capital, Addis Ababa. Michael and Joe both felt convicted to do something to not only provide shelter and love for these street children, but also to share the message and hope of Jesus Christ with them. Not coming from the culture or speaking the language made such a feat seem impossible until they met a young Ethiopian man named Nega Meaza.

House of Joy | Ethiopia
In 2007, Joy Casey - director of House of Joy - traveled to Ethiopia. For two weeks, she traveled the length of Ethiopia meeting Christian leaders, visiting orphanages and asking God to show her His purposes. Little did she know that this contact would catapult Adoption Ministry and the House of Joy into the very heart of Ethiopia's urban squalor to link arms with Christian brothers and sisters struggling to bring hope to marginalized children and those who are desperately poor the nation.

All Nations Mozambique is an organization with a vision for orphans, and the abandoned and dying of Mozambique. They make a difference by sharing the love of Christ with their community through operating homes that take care of abandoned, orphaned, neglected, and HIV infected children.

Beautiful Gate | Cape Town, South Africa
Beautiful Gate was established in 1994 by a Dutch couple Toby and Aukje Brouwer. The initial project was a street children's home in Muizenberg, Cape Town, South Africa. In 1999 they opened a hospice in Crossroads, Cape Town for children dying with HIV/AIDS.

Foster Family Network / Uganda Street Kids | Jinja, Uganda
This home is directed by a compassionate man named Sam Kisolo. This orphanage has over 200 children living in a network of Family unit homes. It is also called the Foster Family Network Homes Orphanage. Uganda has been the epicenter of the AIDS epidemic in Africa, and untold thousands of Ugandans have died of the ravages of AIDS.

Siita Nest Homes | Jinja, Uganda
This home is led by a wonderful Ugandan woman named Alice Kisolo. This orphanage has 175 children in their Siita Nest homes. The main facility has 100 children in it, and they also have satellite homes with 5-10 children per home to provide a real "home" environment. Many of these homes incorporate widows as the house parents, which has a dual impact of providing parents for the children as well as providing a home for the widows who would otherwise live in poverty.

Village Clinic | Jinja, Uganda
Jinja, is a major city in Uganda. Surrounding the city are many smaller villages that fan out from the central city at the meeting place of Lake Victoria and the Nile river. The people living in these villages are
often very poor and many live in stick huts, smeared with the red clay mud that fills the land. In one of those nearby villages is the Village Medical Clinic that provides medical care for about 145 people a week.

St. Ameria | Mbiko, Uganda
The kids are orphaned by many different tragedies. The first is HIV/AIDS. St. Ameria's has a children's choir. Their deeply moving songs are based on personal stories of how AIDS has killed both of their parents, leaving them as orphans in a beautiful, but cruel world. Some of the children are from the northern regions of Uganda where war has been waged since the early 1980's.

Loving One By One | Kampala, Uganda
Loving One By One is dedicated to helping refugee and homeless children in Uganda reach their full potential. The organization began in January 2005 with Ken and Sherry Roberts, whose passion for the poorest children of Uganda led them to provide educational support for two young refugee girls from Sudan. Their efforts focus on providing education, as well as basic physical, spiritual, and medical needs to refugee children and their families.

House of Hope in Kolkata, India is a place of refuge for kids living on the streets. The team of 8 staff members runs the center where the children come each weekday and receive food, education and medical care. They also organize soccer games for older
street boys twice a week, and visit the families living on the streets in the evenings to build a closer relationship with them, in order to help them to find ways to escape life on the streets.

Hope's Gate offers practical and life-giving hope to young women rescued from human trafficking and teens at high risk of being exploitated. In India alone, 200 young girls a day are sold into sexual slavery. It's estimated
that 80% are sold by their own families.

|
India has approximately 11 million street children. They are subject to malnutrition, hunger, health problems, substance abuse, theft, harassment by the city police, as well as physical and sexual abuse. Project Life Connection's
mission is to rescue, restore and reconnect street children with their families and reintegrate them into society. Their desire is to prevent them from falling into a destructive cycle of social, physical and emotional
behavior.

Hut Slum Clinic | Chennai, India
The hut slum is tucked away in back alleys of this teeming metropolis. All around it are the busy streets of a mega-city. Here, there is only a dirt path lined by grass huts. This hut slum is home to several
thousand people, men, women and children who are enslaved by poverty and have no hope of a better life. We walk by one hut where a small animal is roasting over an open fire. I look, do a double take
and realize that their dinner is a cat that had wandered into the hut slum. Desperate people do desperate things.

Leper's Medical Clinic | Coimbatore, India
In India children with leprosy in their families are denied education and sentenced to live as social outcasts. The Children of Lepers Home rescues these children, giving them an education and the freedom to live normal lives. The home provides more than just food and shelter - it creates new beginnings for the children of lepers, rescuing and nurturing those who society considers "untouchable."

Little Lights Leper's Children's Home | Chennai, India
Leprosy seems to be a disease of the past, but today it impacts over 5 million people world-wide. There are about 350,000 new cases a year, mostly in India and surrounding Southeast Asian countries. Globally over 3 million people are permanently disabled as a result of leprosy. Leprosy affects the skin, peripheral nerves, respiratory tract, and the eyes. The disease has a devastating impact on the victim. Highly-effective multi-drug therapy is available and elimination of the disease is possible, but often, lepers can't get the treatment themselves.

In India, women and children with AIDS are considered worse than untouchable – they are often outcasts to their own families. Because of this, many patients in AIDS hospitals are without family support or even anyone willing
to bury them after they die. The founders of PACT began serving in the local AIDS hospital, and while working with the patients they found that many children were left orphans.

Rescue & Restore Street Kids Orphanage is a home for children – some orphaned, some simply abused and abandoned – living on the streets of Chennai. Their work is impacting people who are trapped in a life of hopelessness
and poverty.

The Comforter Aids Orphanage | Pune, India
The Comforter is home to 28 children, half of which are HIV+. The stories of these children are enough to squeeze tears out of the hardest hearts. Some of their parents have died of AIDS. Others have been abandoned after their parents discovered they were HIV+. All of the children here are "Infected or Affected by Aids." They are cared for by a retired doctor whose heart is for the poor and destitute; those forced to make a living from the streets. This is not a sad or depressing place; but a home full of love, smiles and peace.

Rescue House - Rescuing Girls From Sex Slavery | Pune, India
Sex Slavery is the hidden secret in most societies. It is not discussed but it affects most families or extended families in a country like India. In India alone 200 girls A DAY are sold into prostitution. This
is NOT their choice, and shockingly, 80% of them are sold by family members.

The House of peace provides spiritual, physical, emotional and academic care for 43 children who come from different parts of India and from various backgrounds. There are 25 boys and 18 girls in the home. Some of the children
are from villages. A few are from slums, and others are from the streets.
The staff love to share about God and His master plan for their lives. The home also provides a wonderful education, so that their dreams may be fulfilled.
